The municipality of Pajara is located on the south of the island, occupying the last arm of the Penninsula of Jandia. It is the municipality of the golden sand beaches as well as the most extense nude beach on the island. It has a population of a little over 20,000.

Pajara has a coastline of 150 kms and it is the municipality that reflects the most activity on the island. It´s surroundings are Morro Jable, Costa Calma- emblematic windsurfing beach as well as Matorral. We must also mention Sotavento, the richest beach in flora and fauna on the island, a destination for scuba-divers, nudists and nature lovers. The municipality of Pajara has various natural monuments with the Parque Natural de Jandia.

Pajara is the municipality that is the most populated on the island. In it´s surrounding you´ll find for example Pico de Zarza, that at it´s 810 meters is the highest point on the island of Fuerteventura.

Sotavento, Cofete, and Morro Jable are the main beaches...the main beaches in a municipality that practically lives off of tourism and has more than 20,000 spaces in hotels.
